Dahua Releases its Video Platform — DH-M60

Dahua Releases its Video Platform — DH-M60

In the era of digitalization, networkization and intelligentzation, many “elder” projects are stuck in a “analog or IP” dilemma; possessed with analog system, facing with the overwhelming IP options, how to make the best use of the current system while in digitalization process or how to use every penny in system expansion or upgrade are the significant but practical problems that to be tackled with.

To better resolve said problems, Dahua recently released its comprehensive video platform — DH-M60, which integrates multiple functions, such as audio/video encoding, video-wall display, matrix switch, central management, network realtime preview and intelligent video analysis and etc. into one 12U device. The most amazing part is that the unit is capable of processing with different signal sources, such as analog, IP and HD-SDI and perfectly output to display terminals, such as video-walls or other monitors without extra device.

By operating DH-M60, it will leave you with an exciting impression as follows: a single DH-M60 is a “Transformer,” “Hulk” or etc., but when several units are in unity, they could be Avengers.

To be more specific, for smaller applications, a single DH-M60 could be enough, it can play different roles with different function cards, e.g., it can be used as Encoder/Decoder, Matrix or Splicing Controller and etc. a single DH-M60 is up to 80ch HD-SDI and 80ch IPC HD signal input or up to 320ch analog and 320ch IPC D1 input; it also supports up to 80ch HD output.

As for medium and large sized applications, DH-M60 could be served as a comprehensive integrated HD video platform via extension or cascading. It is estimated that compared with other conventional solutions, for the same scale application, DH-M60 adopted solution can not only save much installing trouble, including cabling cost and labor cost, but also can be more environmental-friendly with its lower consumption. And if the project needs data transmission among vertical classified organs, the optical transmission technology could remove the “lack of bandwidth barrier” to achieve non-latent non-compressed transmission, which exactly matches the demand for high-quality images and low-latency in large-scale applications, with the adoption of Dahua disk array, tons of data could be safely stored.

The release of DH-M60 further demonstrates that a tremendous change in terms of video surveillance platform is undertaken within the industry. More all-in-one solutions that integrated with the control over analog, IP, HD-SDI data source are to be introduced to make the system more stable, compatible and scalable.
